An easy way to repair a small hole in a shirt?
My husband cut an AV hole in the shirt of accidents, because he got area used a box knife. Oops! Is there an easy way I can patch this without looking nerd? Fortunately, the hole is in the Party of the low back of the shirt. I have no sewing machine but I only find matching sewing thread and hand. Should I wear a patch type for more force? Some advice would be great, I have not had much experience with repair of clothing, but it is one of his shirts fav. 
Oh, is a thick-sleeved shirt long, almost like a sweater, but not quite. Thanks!
fabric stores sell iron on the tape and patches to repair the tear. Apply to package directions and the back of the shirt. For added security, flounder out of the tear with Fray-Check after the patch has cooled.
