Some questions about the print screen / screen printing? please help.?
1. What is a good place to buy supplies? 2. the number of screens can be done only with Diazo kit? 3. the blackness of the room should be when applying the emulsion on the screen? Also I want to build a light box, but I do not use unfiltered black light, fluorescent lamps regularly is a safe alternative? if so how long it will take to burn the screen and there is a type of fluorescent lamp available. and if you give me some advice would be greatly appreciated!
I can buy most of my things I have my screens silkscreeningsupplies.com melray.com and buy through my clothes in sanmar.com over short distances, 1-12, I use a diazo layer, on the screens the intention of saving, I coat the front and back. 1 gallon goes a long way. I use the yellow lights in the darkroom, so my room is quite lit. I use black lights in my table, five to be exact and single and double coats burn 8 minutes to 15 minutes. Make sure all the light you use, the screen is 100% on the table and covered with a black matte towel or something before applying all the weight you will use to keep the floor or will not wash in points.
