Is there a way to save a picture from the net to a file easily without pressing print screen?
IF there is no option to copy or save file on the picture is it possible to save it to a file any other way? apart from pressing print screen and then saving that? Is there a way to select a section of an image on the internet and then save that to a file (on a pc not mac) ? and if so how do you do it? im not explaining myself very well bcoz im really tired but if anyone knows what i mean it would be great thankyou x
yes obviously i have tried right clicking but no save image option is available
Alternative browsers such as Opera or Firefox are generally unaffected by scripts which instruct IE not to allow the saving of images.
Whilst using Print Screen, or better still Alt + Prt Scr as it only saves the currently selected window, will save to the clipboard, you will not have access to the original image file. That is, you are seeing the results of it once uncompressed, and if you want to save it to disk after cropping the surrounding area, you must either do so uncompressed (such as in .bmp format) to preserve the quality, or sacrifice some quality be resaving it as a .jpg yourself.
An alternative browser likes those mentioned will almost always let you save the image file being displayed to disk. The exception is if the site is using Flash or some other additional software to display the picture, in which case more specialised software is needed to save it.
