Need a suggestion for writers of metal.?
Hello. So I kind of need suggestions for a laser engraving machine or something else. Basically, I have to be able to record a 2 mm painted aluminum / zinc alloy. I'm thinking of burning different things in metals, and all that see are leather / bamboo / silk / etc etc Any suggestions?
If you need to burn 1-2mm deep, can not use a laser. It takes a rotating unit with a motor and a rotating tool. Rotary engravers, a job with a pantograph, which hold the cards that some tiles in a grid and then use to make a pantograph engraving tool to follow a path. Or there are now computer where you want to program a computer and the tool as follows. Laser engravers are computerized. There are two types (in fact, many types, but two broad categories), the CO2 for soft materials such as wood and leather NdYag (neodymium yttrium-aluminum-garnet) for the metal. However, the metal will not burn the surface, no depth. If you have painted metal, or a CO2 laser or NdYag burn the paint. The NdYag also burn below the metal. As it happens I do this for a living metal engraving with a laser NdYag. Maybe if I gave more details on this you want to do I could help more.
