Where can I get basic screen printing info? I’m not sure of this is the right category….?
I just bought a screen printer– not one of those tabletop jobs but a hulk of a machine. The person I bought it from showed me how do work it in the most basic ways and explained everything to me, but there is SOOOOO much to learn– does anybody know of any good websites or any personal tips on screen printing? I want to make art with it— not t shirts. I might do that at some point but right now just prints and posters etc…
It’s an automatic arm type that pulls the ink with a squeegee… weighs about 800 lbs… like I said a hulk of a machine! LOL!!! Please help I am anxious to get started…. ;P
Yes, you chose the right category for your question. Silkscreening can become quite complicated, so I suggest you start off with the basics first. My husband had an art publishing business years ago and this sounds like the same type of set up that they used. He said some of their prints required 29 screen passes.
