Husband gave baby old formula!?
I ran out for 20 minutes to go to the store and in that time my husband grabs a bottle from my diaper bag that had been there for maybe a day or 2 and gives it to the baby (Haven’t been out of the house in 2 days). It was a small 4 oz bottle. Now, the bottle was wrapped in aluminum foil (to keep it cool when I went out the other day) and according to my husband the bottle was very cool. It’ been about 2 hours and my son doesn’t seem upset or anything. Has anyone gone through this? Should I be super worried? Our apartment is pretty chilly and we’ve had a cold week here in NY. I’m a first time Mom and he’s only 2 months old – needless to say I want to KILL my husband right now. Can’t even run to the store for 15 friggin’ minutes without something going wrong!
Ok, granted the bottle should have gotten washed out but like I said, I haven’t been out in like 2 days and I forgot it was in there. I’m usually not that careless so cut me a little slack on that end.
hon, if u r really worried, put in a call to baby’s doc; even if it is after hours they should have someone on call to call you back; explain what happened and see what they say you should do if anything….relax; baby will be ok; and i know you are angry, but remember, dad was trying to help, and he made a mistake; it happens…and when u can , be thankful that he was willing to help, bc so many aren’t……*hugs*
