why my tile cutter cannot cut straight ? can it be that the blade is not sharp?
it is my first time to lay tiles now i need to cut some tiles. but the cutter that i hired is not cutting the way i want, is it the blade to the cutter is not sharpen do I need to change the blade, or is it me don’t know how to use the cutter,
Tile cutters come in 2 varieties: Wet saws, which have diamonds blades (which are not sharp to the touch) or “breakers” which have small carbide wheels which you use to score the tile then break along that score.
If you have the first type, You just have to practice, make sure all the guide are properly adjusted and everything is straight before beginning the cut. If you have he second type, make sure the tile is help tightly up against the back-guide before beginning the score, after the score check again that the line is directly below the breaker.
